Prepress製版
From checking and adjusting your files to image retouching and plate-ready data. We specialize in turning abstract ideas — “healthy skin tones,” “mouth-watering freshness” — into precise color. Press proofs and DDCP proofs available.
From design to print —
one partner for every step.
For over 60 years in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, we have refined the art of color.
We reproduce exactly the expression you have in mind, on paper and beyond.
SERVICES
From checking and adjusting your files to image retouching and plate-ready data. We specialize in turning abstract ideas — “healthy skin tones,” “mouth-watering freshness” — into precise color. Press proofs and DDCP proofs available.
Through long-standing partnerships with major printing companies, we propose the best method for your paper, quantity, special finishes, schedule and budget — with the color control only a prepress house can offer.
Our in-house Creative Design Studio, with creative direction by renowned CI/VI designer Akira Ishikawa, handles logos, branding, characters and packaging.
Large-format poster output, plus “Artdemika” — our original fine art reproduction service. Prepress specialists adjust color by eye and test with the artist present. Each print comes with a certificate.
FINE ART INKJET

Artdemika is Mika Prepress’s original inkjet output, created for fine art reproduction.
Rather than relying on digital color management alone, our prepress specialists adjust color by eye, taking into account the paper and the artist’s intent to faithfully reproduce the work.
Every purchased print comes with its own certificate.
OUR CRAFT
Founded. Since the days of film, we have honed our skills in color and smooth gradation.
Every patch on our color chart is tuned to within ΔE 1, matching press and DDCP proofs with high accuracy.
Japanese Society of Printing Science and Technology Award (1st), Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award. Japan Color Proof certified; PrivacyMark certified.
WORKS & CLIENTS
From photo books and cosmetics advertising to hotels, schools, healthcare, companies and associations — clients across every industry who care about color and finish trust us with their work.
WORKS
Launched in 2014 with the Nihonbashi Meguri-no-Kai association, this project revives classic ukiyo-e prints as large shop curtains (noren) for the historic stores of Nihonbashi. We handle everything from image restoration for large-scale output to design and printing.
